    glitchDS v1.1 is out!

Be aware, your old snapshots will not load in the new version since the format has changed.

    Download glitchDS_1_1.zip

    NEW FEATURES

Improved snapshot management - Snapshot management acts more like a file system, with real names and a limit of 200 save files. I’ve attempted to keep the interface simple and clean.

Ability to change sequence length - Sequence lengths of 32, 16, 8, 4, and 2 can be selected by using the right and left directional buttons on the sequencer control page. Sequence length is indicated by a small gray bar at the very bottom of the sequencer control page.

    BUG FIXES

    - BPM can be changed while the sequencer is stopped.

    - Certain errors should no longer cause the program to halt, such as missing files. However, error handling is still weak.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

If you are installing the new version from scratch, follow the installation instructions in the documentation.

If you are updating an older version, your old snapshot files aren’t compatible with the old system, so make a backup of version 1.0 and install the new version from scratch. Make sure that you backup any sounds that you have copied in to your old /sounds directory and, after installing 1.1, restore your custom sounds back to the /sounds directory.

    THE FUTURE

Two new upcoming features include directory support and DSMI (Nintendo DS Music Interface) support. I can’t promise that I’ll be successful at coding these features, but I’ll do my best.

Thanks for all your support and feedback. A special thank-you to the beta testers of version 1.1!

    • Wow!

      loading it now!!

      thanks

    • Hi GlitchDS-Creators! Thanks for this great prog..its maybe the best homebrew-App on the DS.

I have a small gig on a alternative Electronicmusic-Event here in berlin with it…it was fun!

I have a big big wish for your next release..if its possible.

It is possible to change the volume/loudness of each sound? Many sounds are to loud for the arrangements… .

Please say “yes, its possible, we will do it”! ;)
      Greetings from berlin

    • Oh, another think that would be great for live-performances… if i change the snapshot..its possible that the OLD (f.e.Snapshot 1) snapshot first play to the end..and than start playing the new snapshot?

    • I am having a hard time getting both GlitchDS and ProteinDS to work on my G6 lite. Did anybody using G6 had it to work? I just updated the G6 firmware to 3.7b, but with the same result. NitroTracker and older stuff works just fine.

    • 1.1 looks good! The save system is very useful.
One thing I’ve just noticed though is that sometimes when I speed up the tempo or add more triggers, previous samples that sounded don’t play anymore. I’m guessing it is because of a limit on the number of sounds playing at the same time though.

    • @ Patrik Wallström: Try launching glitchDS via the browser of DSOrganize. This helps launching it with a M3DS Real, maybe it’s the same for G6 Lite

    • First of all : This app just looks too good and fun to play with ^^
Only problem i have is to get it work with my M3DS Real ; ; I am using the System, which got mentioned on the documentation site. But when i start to launch it with DSOrganise i am always getting error message about not being patched (chism it is i think) and if i try to use the other one, i get a strange red screen with some error code i dont understand.
@dcp could you be so kind to explain how you got it work ?

      Thanks in advance^^

And keep up the good work guys, love to see so much great homebrew apps being released for this little monster^^

    • Looks awesome, but why only power of 2 lengths? Would it be too hard to program any length from 1 to 32?
